tHeKOPrAntS@10:08 AM This short post is dedicated to the memory of our late English teacher, Miss Serene Leong, who left us exactly 3 years ago.Interestingly, I know of a number of people who have passed on and she’s the only deceased person who has appeared in one of my dreams before. Perhaps it is due to the way she has left an impact on me which strikes me most. Despite not getting to know her better, considering that we were only with her for slightly more than half a year, she did not have to do anything life changing or drastic for us to keep her in our memories. She came across as someone friendly, gentle, approachable..enthusiastic, in my opinion. And the only time she got angry and scolded us, it never carried an impression of aggressiveness but disappointment. (Imagine a mouse trying to shout. Ya, it takes some imagination.) In short, her example has made me inclined to think, as a healthy and very much alive individual, how have I impacted the people around me, through my sometimes seemingly insignificant actions? And so whenever I remember Esther Au washing her face (lawl) to the lyrics “I am a flower quickly fading, here today and gone tomorrow, a wave tossed in the ocean, a vapour in the wind…” I will be reminded of the fragility of human existence yet be encouraged by the notion that our lives are as unique as how we treat our fellow homo sapiens ;) Saturday, July 26, 2008 0 sAy wHAt LAYOUT TERMS: p/s: Do not touch/edit the "Credits" section.
