Random highlights of recent weeks shall be the theme

I just read the newspaper article about PW. I must say that it's quite disappointing for MOE to think that the grading system, currently mired in controversy, is fair. Let's just give all the markers and moderators the benefit of the doubt and assume they adhere to the guidelines. So students deserve the grade they got? Dubious. True, I know of schoolmates who have really put in effort to produce pieces of work worthy of a distinction, hence their grades are justified, but how can there be so much disparity between classes and more so between schools. Does the MOE realise that the problem lies not with the grading but with how much help certain colleges give their students? Are they doing anything about it? I understand why my group is so damn disappointed to get a C. The point is not about the small differences between grades but the sense of injustice we all feel. It's not that all the As and Bs don't deserve their grades but when you are at the end of a controversial penalty decision you will know how it feels like.

Well, I guess we will all just move on. Let the poor grade be that extra bit of the fuel needed to push for A levels. Life is full of sloped playing fields that we can't level. It's good and normal to make noise but noise alone will get us nowhere.

So nvm lah! Aiks, but once in a while we should make noise make noise make noise make noise make noise make noise....makes life more interesting right.

Today during pract, me and Hoeping thought of a punishment for Harry which goes like this. Procedure: Lock all windows. Stopper all sinks. Fill all sinks with H202. Pour a bottle of catalase into all sinks. Evacuate and lock Harry in. Foam party. Harry, you know you deserve more than this right? Of course you do. Count the number of times you broke our contract =X Don't worry, we'll send you for retraining. Haha.

Hmm, went for NS medical exam that day. Pes B! Discovered I was partially colour blind =X and the aptitude tests were quite unusual and entertaining. Esp the press the“buttons as fast as you can”one. Btw, Yuwei almost backflipped when we told him how much blood had to be collected.

So..H3 lectures at RJC have come to an end. Dr. Yu the smiley laughed and said that he wanted to cry during the last lecture. Everyone just lawled cos the way he said it was absolutely hilarious. He was grinning and chuckling all the way as usual.

Saw 2 rainbows in the sky last Friday, which was little snail's birthday :) Esther helped us to spot the second one. Was quite a remarkable sight! Pity I didn't manage to photograph them.

Talking to EWZ at the same time now, he says there's a real nice documentary on arts central I should be watching at the moment. Haha, so I'll end of here.
